Our key Financial highlights

Reporting a turnover result of over £10m which represents an organic growth rate of 22% over 2010, with over 40% from recurring client revenues for that period. Today over 75% of Proximity’s overheads are covered on an on-going basis through these recurrent revenues and moving forward our view is this will grow during 2012.

The quality of our delivery has allowed us to maintain our profitability and enabled better management control over our overheads which has delivered £0.8m of operating profits. Q. Which sport and team do you support and why?
I love golf and play whenever I can. I am the Captain this year of Donnington Grove, my local club. I watch football and support three teams; Glasgow Celtic, Manchester United and Borrussia Moenchegladbach. Celtic because of where I grew Up, Manchester United– Twinned Club with Celtic and Moenchengladbach in Germany, as my son was there.

Q. What do you do to switch off from work?
Play golf, travel when I can and I also get involved in charity work.

Q. Favourite place visited, in the world and why?
Japan, as I’m very interested in Bushido and the Samurai, and a guy called Thomas Glover “The Scottish Samurai”

My Grandfather in 1960 taught me how to play golf, he also said “never cheat, never lie and be a gentlemen all the time” – I try and live by those words every day.
